Gun for Hire
So at this stage in my life I'm finding it difficult to fit football in, or at least the football I'd like to be involved in.
I have a wonderful young family and a busy job which means I travel a reasonable amount. Football, as important as it is to me, comes third.
As such, I've not been able to take up opportunities and pursue avenues in the game I would otherwise have pursued.
I've had some great experience in the game so far as a player and a coach, and have ambitions to achieve a lot more in time. But for now, I'm doing what I can to keep learning and developing with the game, watching all sorts of football and coaches at work both in the UK and beyond.
I've been asked by a couple of teams fairly local to me to help with coaching support/pre season planning etc which worked well, so without the capacity to commit permanently to one team/club/academy, I'm putting this out there.
If you want me to come and take a session, maybe two, with your team/club, please get in touch. Helping out with my lad's U8s side when absolutely necessary is the only U16 football I've ever been involved in - so I'm really focussed on teams at 16+ age groups. I'm happy to work on specific attacking/defending technical elements of the game, more functional work on preparing teams for matches, individual and small group work, and even coaching support for others.
I'm based south east of York so within a 50/60 mile radius would be sensible, but I travel a reasonable amount so may even be able to help further afield.
I'm no Pep Guardiola, am only qualified to Level 2 status and am not qualified to be a coach mentor despite having done so.
But doing this will continue my own development as a coach and anyone I help out stands to at least get some willing and enthusiastic coaching support.
And if I can't help, I may know someone who can.
So please get in touch if you want! And it's free by the way!
